I actually have been watching Home Alone 1 and 2 repeatedly yesterday and today. I really like that the Mother took accountability and apologized to Kevin at the end. Not only was she one of the people who lit the fire(the whole family in general was awful to Kevin) but she also added more fuel to the fire. “Then maybe you ask Santa for a new family.” That’s certainly not something you should saying to your kid. Kevin also fan the flame too by how he reacted to Buzz going out of his way to make sure Kevin couldn’t have his preferred pizza, but everybody else fanned the flames as well, and basically scapegoated Kevin with the false narrative of him being the one whose the problem. Especially the uncle, he was the worst offender.
