Thanks for growing with us!

On a beautiful winter day there is nothing better than getting outside to do some garden work. Today we are showing you how we maintain our pollarded plants. We chose to pollard our Dappled Willow for size control and to create a tree form that would provide shade to some perennials. This technique is a lot of fun and a great way to have some creativity in the garden. Our black pussy willow is transformed in this video from a big clump to a short multi-stem tree that opens up a lot of planting area below.

Here are some of the tools we used:

Corona DualCUT 4 in. Forged Steel Blade https://rstyle.me/+CAqCyp7Nat-2V5-VDC_KGA

Corona ClassicCUT 2.75 in. https://rstyle.me/+A5xm1Da41VG53S_-BJ1JXw

Felco 5-1/2 in. Folding Pruning Saw https://rstyle.me/+-FRB8ou6moR4nAqfzk0EyA
