ahah en t shirt , pas de harnais pas de ciré pas de gilet , en train de encore fermer des panneaux , sans bottes patiemment
ОтветитьI use windy , but I don’t think any of them are that accurate, they are just forcasts
ОтветитьCroatia looks great , never been , lots of islands to visit,
ОтветитьThese 20 minute storms are crazy with lightening, appreciated your calmness. Lucky no heavy gusts and waves which would of made navigation through the island complicated. As mentioned, surprised no safety or rain gear on.?
Just heard your reply for not being with safety equipment, fair enough👍🏼🙏
Compliments to your daughter on super result at University 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💖👍🏼 enjoy Venezia.🤩
Very Nice video! Wie dont u guys use the lifeline? Just imagine...
ОтветитьLife jacket ? Lifeline ?
ОтветитьShould of seen that coming!
ОтветитьHi, love the channel & a super episode. I was just waiting for Robert Deniro's hand to come out of the water and Judy to exclaim " that's all we need" oh well!
ОтветитьThat's adriatic. No wind, too much wind and always straight on the nose. I sail in this area all my life and it's getting worse 😂predict wind is ok,but set it on icon and look only gust speeds.
ОтветитьI know the Adriatic from first-hand experience and once got into serious trouble during a heavy gust of Bora. Having said that, I believe there are certain things you guys should have handled differently - reefing your mainsail earlier, having a backup navigational device with you and couple of other things ... glad it went all well
ОтветитьGreat video. We had a similar experience north of Sicily a couple of years ago but with 40 knots of wind and a water spout 3 miles away.
ОтветитьReally? I'm dumbstruck.
ОтветитьI couldn’t even stay married with my wife on board, how you managed this is excellent. Concerned at the lack of life jackets, but you were there, I wasn’t.
ОтветитьWhere's the life jackets?
ОтветитьВ грозу за ванты не чапляйтесь за мачту и будет вам счастье
ОтветитьWhat is your boat is beautiful, witch model please ?
ОтветитьGood work team 👏🏻👏🏻
ОтветитьGod bless yall
ОтветитьThat was quite the storm.
Glad you were finally able to visit with family.
Maybe next time, when it’s raining that hard, put on your snorkeling goggles!
But well done in keeping your cool in such a stressful situation!
All the best Richard
This is wonderful. Never sailed. Don’t have a hunger for it. But I get to live it through your video without the work. Glorious. Thank you. Croatia is absolutely beautiful. I must go sometime. Also I subscribed.
ОтветитьThanks for showing this. Most people would be too embarrassed to show themselves getting into trouble and making big mistakes like not wearing life jackets, not using lifelines and leaving the mainsail up in the teeth of an approaching thunderstorm. I used to fly in this area a lot and it wasn’t called “thunderstorm alley” without good cause.
ОтветитьWas disgusted to see you sailing with no life jackets. Not setting a good example.
ОтветитьI sourly remember a sailor’s golden rule (which actually rhymes in German): comes rain before the wind, hurry up and strike your sails. (Where else the other way round means first class sailing conditions ...)
But well done, folks. Thrilling, really – thanks. Peter the Pirate
good job you did :) i would have probably called the coastguard
ОтветитьNo life jackets? later in the video you explained that, but maybe a good idea to have some non hydrostatic PFDs on board too maybe for circumstances like that. Lesson for us all.
ОтветитьI just found your channel very enjoyable, your boat is beautiful
ОтветитьOn deck during a storm - no Lifeline - no lifejacket. I know you were in a panic and the seas weren't heavy, but even so.
ОтветитьOne of the disadvantages of hot weather are those electric squalls. Turn and run for a while was an option. That storm will pass.
Ответитьguys.....safelanes jackets and goggles during storms!!
Ответитьjeez, some of those strikes have to be within 100 meters or less as there is hardly a gap between flashes and the sound of the thunder! scary!
ОтветитьBad choice. Much more danger from rocks you can't see than the storm. Never run for home. It is the first human instinct you have to deny when at sea, the land is not your friend.
ОтветитьWell done and happy to see You arrived safe at port. Im a new subscriber and I must give You credit. You guys have become my #1 favorite sailing channel. Keep the episodes coming 👍😁
ОтветитьSorry, that is not realy the perfect behavior to handle a thunderstorm :-(
ОтветитьGood job…you lived
ОтветитьI got so involved that the thought of lifelines, and life jackets completely escaped me until I saw the comments. Great footage!
ОтветитьThat was just plain scary! Isn’t sailing just exciting! 👌🙏
Ответитьcongratulations by a italian lonely sailor between italy and croatia, storms are present and dangerous in adriatic sea .have a good trip
Ответитьthat was a colin clencher !
ОтветитьAhhh hahaha argh the sea she's a mighty beast
ОтветитьThat's EXACTLY the positive side on a pilot house..... Always staying dry 😴
ОтветитьLove your show, BUT please,NO MUSIC spoils the whole show way to loud.
ОтветитьI know this is 3 years ago but I had to comment. That was absolutely scary but thrilling! I know absolutely nothing about sailing but I thought you were so brave. Thank you for sharing it, glad you were both ok ♥️
ОтветитьGreat footage , you both must be incredibly confidant to not put llife vests on .
ОтветитьThat was pretty intense. It seemed to come from nowhere and then having to choose to go through the narrow channel with rocks on either side and mistaking a navigation buoy for another ship was exciting for a few moments. You two work very well together and that is so wonderful to see the partnership. True comrades. It is rare to see that in these times where a lot of people don’t have traditional family values. You get to see what people are made of in times of these situations and both of you are calm, brave, quick thinkers. A lot of people really freeze in these moments.
Ответитьwhere was your safety harness in the storm you could of gone overboard
ОтветитьYou have the perfect news reader voice ❤️
Ответитьgreat that you had the composure to film this
ОтветитьWhen passing through the narrow, how close do you think you came to the 'rock awash at low water' that is on the chart about the same distance from the cardinal as between the cardinal and land? Looks pretty close from the video. Exciting to watch but I guess more risk exposure than you planned for.
I've learned a lot from this video and comments below from other experienced sailors though. Thanks for showing it
