Lewis has also been a liability in defense this season. Ake, Akanji, and Stones all either injured or not at full fitness and are far superior at holding the back line
ОтветитьAn underrated element is how the ‘Stones’ role evaporated despite him being in the team.
They need support, and a double pivot with the 3 CBs to prevent turnovers.
And the press seems inadequate, lacking energy and direction. There is a desperate need to have pressing discipline, along with the onus to defend quick.
The mentality thing is known, on the other hand
Another weapon gone from the city Arsenal 😭
ОтветитьAlso saying nunus isn't beating players and creating is wild cause I think the few games he has played he, he has had great stats with assits and goals
ОтветитьThe problem with Pep city is if they play 2 pivots teams just play 5 at the back and the 325 shape has no overload that's why he is now using a 3 1 6 ... as good as doku and savhino are in 1v1 situations it's sometimes difficult to find a pass when there is a defensive block and no free man
ОтветитьOh no! FMS have figured it out so best believe Pep has as well. I personally feel it is Liverpool's to lose, they have better depth and City will be vulnerable to the counter unless they have a hidden academy gem to play dm
ОтветитьI like this analysis but it's too early to say that city is self-destructing. But the analysis on Kova is pinpoint. Kudos to you
ОтветитьCity is cooked!
Ответить"Midfield chasm"..."Isolated pivot".....Sounds like another bald manager i know..
So the difference between Pep and Ten Hag is Rodri?😂
Will be waiting for that end of season tactical masterclass video.
ОтветитьDon’t you worry everybody, Pep will buy a 100 million dollar midfielder in January to solve the problem
ОтветитьHear me out. Kdb as a single pivot. Similar to the çalhanoglu revolution at inter
ОтветитьJulian Alverez was very important
ОтветитьThis is the usual city cycle. Pep will find some solution by January I'm sure.
ОтветитьI’ve seen this story before
ОтветитьThere is nothing wrong with pep tactics....city just have too many crucial players injured
Ответитьwhen i said Rodri was the machine of mancity and deserved the ballon dor people laughed at me bcz he doesnt score goals
ОтветитьCuz it's his special players the ones who carry the team, not him
Once that pieces fall, the rest does as well
Pep always finds solutions, better solutions
ОтветитьSame problem with xavi last season
Ответитьrodri truly is a monster. has a exceptional passing range, powerful and well placed shot, important goals in the locker, physicality, positioning, tackling.with taht gone and no one to replace that defensive cover and the system described will give away a lot of chances and goals. combine the loss of range, goals, turnovers and assists and get xg dropoff. add in out of form players on the wing and injuries to the central areas and u have a true crisis. brionging back the 3-2 system is the way out.
Ответитьhe’ll come up with some ground breaking idea by jan. But i do think they just need more players
ОтветитьThey're missing Rodri's tactical fouls.
ОтветитьFoden isn't out of form, he is overrated. He is playing at his normal level rn.
ОтветитьI love how Man City fans are still confident that Man City will go on and win 10 games or so in a row in the second half of the season, when their main players are aging and slow also injury prone. I'd start to be worried if Man City drop more points Man City fans, also every great team has a downfall eventually.
ОтветитьThis video should be renamed as "why Rodri won the ballon d or".
ОтветитьIs this normal for a manager to criticize? How many 2nd or 3rd in a row of runners up had Alex ferguson have? I think its exhausting to win consistently . Opponents always find a hole to win
ОтветитьI wish I could have as many trophies as Pep using self destructing tactics.
Also, why is it called "self destructing"? Are we talking about football, or a pokemon?
Being Liverpool fans, I do enjoy Man City current calamity 😂, but let's be real. Pep is a serial winner, he will ultimately bounce back with or without Rodri and other injured key players
ОтветитьThis prove that he still need a individual skill players, some people said that he build a system so still its a player who have abilities to deliver shows us that this sport is still a individual performance that matters
Ответить"His tiny team conquered the world" Tiny says the man, what a joke
ОтветитьSavinho also doesn't like tracking back out wide so Walker is overloaded on the right
ОтветитьThe "self-distructing" tactics that have made him winning four PL titles in-a-row. Advantageous title.
ОтветитьThree things are guaranteed in life
Death
Taxes
And pep guardiola innovating his own broken tactic that no other manager can do to dominate march to April and win the league
City Will find the way....after the FA court 😅😅😅
ОтветитьVery good analysis.
Don't agree with the off the ball stuff. Rodri is almost never assigned the task to shield the backline by himself.
Stones/Akanji inverting from CB is mainly due to the fact that Rodri often gets overrun in midfield. He's just not that good defensively.
City not having any other 6 is hurting them more than not having Rodri.
Pep knows the solution more than you believe
ОтветитьHis system is too regimented....pep despises creativity outside his rigid system.
ОтветитьThe same problem at Real Madrid, they lost Tony Kroos, the deep-lying playmaker
ОтветитьHe needs such players to implement his abnormal tactics 😂
ОтветитьBrilliant video!
ОтветитьSo... Turns out that Pep is not THAT good without a team of freaky World-class players with skills specially taylored to play just like he wants... I thought he could make any player better and win titles even with an amateur team. I guess that all of this was bullshit after all
Ответитьcity’s poor squid building messed up everything so badly
ОтветитьNew tactic coming soon and change football again.
ОтветитьHe has no choice but to play the single pivot and frankly he has no choice but to put Kova in that role. Before rodri’s injury it was a double pivot with Kova and Rodri and it was an excellent pairing. With Rodri down, who do you put in the double pivot with kova? Gundo doesn’t play the 6 too great, Bernardo either. Rico is you’ll often see move in from his right back position every now and then but none can replace rodri. So instead of trying to replace rodri in the double pivot and weakening your attack in front (by taking away gundo or Silva)rather than losing strength in attack you might as well just single pivot Kovacic (whos a very good ball hunting CDM who can cover a lot of space). Now you keep gundo and Silva where they’re more effective and have an excellent CDM behind them to clean things up. City’s problem is the same as it has been for the last couple of seasons: lack of line breaking passes. No one is the surgeon that de bruyne is or even come close. The way they play since acquiring Haaland requires that type of player who can find A ball in the final third. Otherwise you’re just passing it around. All bark and no bite. They lack creativity in between the lines. Alvarez was great in De Bruynes absence because he added another dimension that hold the fort down until de bruyne returned. Look at most of city’s loses in the prem last season and even this season. You’ll see they have plenty of possession but no end product. Feels like they have to score at least twice to win games because if or once the opposition scores, they have every body behind the ball making it extremely difficult for city.
All of this plus the fact that the wing play has been lackluster, it’s not just rodri’s absence.
John stones being injured is a huge blow not being talked about enough. He’s not rodri but he controls the midfield well. He would have been the one we see step up from his cb position into midfield.
They miss rodri, yes, but Kovacic is doing more than a solid job though.
I honestly think he’s gonna go back to a 4231 this week and going forward. The way he’s been using the FBs to threaten the half spaces, he has to, especially against Postecoglou’s style of football.
Poor Kovcic. Such an underrated player.
ОтветитьPep is never Good at knock outs. two of defeats are from EFL and UCL which now has a new format like knockout.
ОтветитьHe need to call amorim for advice
Ответить7:60 that's why rodri is injured now. A couple years play with the risks and being more isolated.
Ответить
