Dewalt 735 Planer Helical Head Upgrade On a Budget--FindBuyTool Helical Head Installation And Review

I just got a deal yesterday. 499 for the planer for the acme tool. And I thinking about the fine buy helical soon as I need to replace blades. And the dro from wixie. Or if I find deals i can't pass up.

Just bought the newer Oliver 13in planer with a helical head for $900 model 10045. The cutter head is made in house its no longer the Byrd one

@findbuytool I wish the sale was good at their Amazon store as well. I've been waiting for the byrd helical head to go on sale. I have Amazon gift cards to use up.

I just installed mine today. took about 3 hrs. Had to open up the hole in the drive pully with a dremel and a cylindrical grinding stone. So far , so good. A lot quieter. No milling marks.

They gave you the thicker nut to protect the threads when you are driving the head in place.
