My XL is a sweetheart. Some people may not be breeding these dogs correctly. But the whole breed is not bad.

It’s not the dogs, it’s irresponsible owners, becomes an awkward one in this tragic case.

people getting so mad at the entire breed because of this my “bully” just passed recently and got scared of squirrels so let’s keep it real guys the whole breed is not nearly as “horrible” as y’all are making it seem. “Ban the breed”, “These aren’t pets” actually yes they are so when something like this happens it automatically “These dogs should be killed” but when chihuahuas almost maul kids it’s the kids fault like ok?

I accidentally saw the footage on Reddit when searching for the facts, I assumed wrongly it was going to be blocked out. That her family was sent that same footage and that is how they found out is gut wrenching. They ripped her arm right off, she had zero chance.

I’ve known two People personally Who raised these dogs from puppy’s with all the love and they turned aggressive and bit them and their kids. It has nothing to do with how you raise them, it’s part of them

This is why you need to be strict to your pit bulls you can’t baby pitbull a man, All of the dogs that I’ve owned in my life are all pit bulls and no my family isn’t associated with gangs or anything like that in fact we are cristians

I can already tell you what's happend here she's got that xl bully dog for show she's not walked it enough it's been trapped in the house while she goes work and trapped inside all weekend while she's out partying the only thing she has done with that dog is walk it down the street and back if that. I have 2 xl bully's they have lots of energy and need proper walks in forests fields etc to get rid of all the built up energy plus they hate being Alone. That dog was fed up angry and trapped so it flipped I don't know why people get these type of dogs if they haven't got the time to look after them properly these dogs dnt want to take selfies and dance in your kitchen they want to run through a forest and stimulate thier minds

These comments are not it 🤦‍♂️ I had a xl bully before he was a great dog I had him trained and after that he was just a big baby and also I just want to say no average people should NOT attempt to train them these dogs can get really big and can easily overpower you so do not attempt to train them if you don’t have prior experience and the dog isn’t the issue it the owners!

People who own pitbuls are s2pid... they put themselves at risk and worse they put their neighbors and family at risk too.
pitbul type dogs should be banned, it is clear people can not be trusted to own them.

Its kinda obvious British breeders did not breed the XL bullies correctly if all of these instances are happening in England. In the states you barely even hear about dogs attacking their owners. Not trying to put the people of England down but just reading news like this and reading the comments its clear British people look at dogs different than Americans. At the end of the day if you dont have ability to command your dog, esp a large one like bullies, dont get one. I have a 130 XL bully almost 2 years, complete sweetheart. Also, just the other day while driving early morning, a dog had run away from her owner, is what a female rotty, and typical female dogs sometimes can run away while in heat. I had total command of the dog just by my voice and body movements. It was calm around me and even pranced. Called animal control but the owner eventually appeared and found his dog and cancelled call to animal control. Not bragging but not anyone can command large dogs.

Did she raise these dogs from birth, I doubt it , these dogs may have had bad history elsewhere

This is such a shame, my girl is the most, social loving dog with people dogs, children, ect, with such an amazing temperament that she always gets complimented for. Its how you raise them. My girl has a great routine is loved and never left at home alone for long periods of time. She has great walks and plenty of mental stimulation and constant socialisation with dog if all kinds. In the wrong hands this breed is honestly a weapon on a leash (like mosy dog) . But if raised correctly they are amazing familys pets. Its the owners not the dog.

Sometimes ( obviously not always ) They attract the wrong type owners. An ex Convicted Tottenham F.C. hooligan turned MMA cage fighter. Who still sometimes does the rounds bragging about his thuggery. Had links with an XL bully breeding business a couple of years ago. Trojan Bullies or something ? You can imagine the kind of low lives that those poor dogs will be bought buy .

In my town an XL Bully was roaming loose, attacked a man, he lost an arm and was in intensive care for a month

What did she expect,it takes a responsible owner to keep these in check,and a 20 something woman can't do it ,they are not teddy bears to put all over social media, there's a clue in the word banned !!!!!

Don't care what anyone says, no one can ever fully predict an animal's behaviour or have complete trust in them.

That's why you get a corgi or any small breed as a pet,they cannot eliminate you.

First of all she danced with her dog and she got up in his grill by hugging him. Dogs aren't accessories for people's entertainment. A german shepherd or belgian malinois or any mastiff would have done the same thing. She obviously ended up being perceived as a threat by her dogs and then people wonder why this happened.

I’m an ER nurse and see at least two dog bites every shift (and that is just me not including my coworkers).I learned not to villainize one breed. A lot of these are mutts, mixes. I see plenty of purebreds biting people.
