Tbh I think naval warfare was gutted. Like it’s a fun idea to make naval aircraft matter, but they should’ve made aircraft carriers actually work as a carrier of aircraft before that so there can be some counter-counterplay.

Also the anti air buff should be reversed. It made defensive play way more annoying. Honestly the anti-air buff is kinda a symptom of the RON devs not really having a concept of good balance and always choosing the least intelligent option. Counterplays should exist, but it shouldn’t just be “deploy this unit to counter this other unit”.

battleships personally became really fun to me with 1400% attack, I was able to wipe out an full instanbul garrison late game of 2 million with four battleships in two months with fort and arty
only lost 1 battle

nah they are really weak, if you have good artillery with range and firepower, they easily destroy aircraft carriers and have the same range

I feel like the counter to ac with attackers can just be countered by good fighters with the ac. Nowadays having actual aircraft on your ac is actually important, whereas before the buff it was absolutely not necessary at all

honestly, yes, the AC needs a nerf, but you know what's more annoying than an aircraft carrier? mass scorching, imagine you're playing a normal match as france, germany decides to attack you but you manage to wipe out his entire army and now you're marching straight towards the rhine, but germany decides to scorch all of his lands and leave.. annoying, isn't it? they should add something like a scorch limit, where you can only scorch 10-20 cities every 300 seconds or so, that would make the game a lot better and a lot less annoying.

There is another way to kill an AC. It was late game and I was Switzerland. The USA declared war on my without bordering me because I almost had nukes. He sent an AC towards me (plus a lot of infantry, tanks and artillery) and I destroyed his AC with 100 artillery very easily, which tech I had been upgrading for a while now. I also killed 1 battleship, 2 destroyers and some frigates along with the AC with the same arty. Yeah the arty is just OP

i was playing cyprus a few days ago and usa attacked me for no reason, i only had libya which his ally egypt and him bordered. He tried to wp me but i rejected and he sent an ac with a shit ton of escorts next to it, i basically one shot his ac with arty, i thought he disbanded it because of how fast it turned to dust😭😭

I played as finland once and germany united all of europe except for me, he spawned a navy which includes an aircraft carrier, but i just got a bunch of anti aircraft and the carrier did pretty much nothing after 5 years (he eventually gave up after 6 million losses and left)

AC does little damage to late game infantry on forted mountains

The most silly strat is to play as kazakhstan and place a carrier in Caspian.

I rarely use and see aircraft carriers anymore. In most wars i can win by just spamming infantry and tanks, and i don't need any other units to kill their units. It's just not worth it to make shipyards in the early game and in late game, wars happen less often

Just use artillery to counter it

Get an ac, get some destroyers, subs and a battleship. Leave fighters on the carrier, so no attackers will try to kill ur navy and do the same with attackers so they can kill anti-air. Thats it

It was late game and i was a fully developed south Africa union and had researched nukes fully ottoman empire made 2 aircraft carriers carrying both 50 bombers or so i hade 10 nukes and had a small land wich can be absolutely demolished by bombers so i nuked both aircraft carriers with the bombers and he white peaced
