Do you have any recommendations for taking out the punch pin to remove the planetary? I have tried everything, it won't budge. I've hit it so hard, the end of the pin seems to be widening out. Literally feels like it was glued in.

Spray some WD-40 on the pin and give it a few minutes then try driving it out. Once out put it back into it's original dimensions with some Emory paper. They can be stubborn coming out.
