Have the #lipstick formulas changed since 1998? Let’s find out!

My very first lipstick was Raspberry from MAC in 1988 when I was13 . It was an amazing dark, matte, berry. I really wish they still made it. I definitely had the original O and wore it all the time in the mid 90's! Loved seeing this comparison. I really miss the pre Estee Lauder MAC!

Hm well that's something I didn't know about lipstick, suppose I may go check the expiry dates on the ones I own now

Side by side on the lips I feel that they compliment each other in a beautiful way but other than that, OMG , they are super different

I had this lipstick in the late 90s! I purchased it initially to go with a mid calf length Betsey Johnson slip dress that I wore for my birthday party in 97. The party was in the basement of an old Italian restaurant in Seattle. Almost a speakeasy vibe. What wonderful years those were!

I STILL HAVE ORIGINAL MAC LIPSTICKS! In the original tubes too. And yeah, I was TICKED when they changed the look and formulation of "O" and many other of their iconic lippies.

I really hope they see this video & bring back the vintage shade. I had this lipstick in the 90s & I really loved it. As a matter of fact... I'm gonna go snooping thru my stuff. I might have 1 somewhere...

Lipstick was one of the first things I was allowed to wear, and the OG ‘O’ was so coppery and gorgeous. Perfect for a crisp fall day when you’re in junior high and feeling very cute😅 it’s nice to know my memory isn’t faulty. I bought one not so long ago and found it had lost some of the magic—I guess now I know why!

This is my favorite Mac lipstick. I’ve been using it since probably 2002.

I wore ‘O’ for my wedding in 2001. Bought a new tube years later & was SO disappointed in the color difference! The original was so beautiful!

I like the 98...the 23 is pretty too but the 98 expired is very cute😂

Do you think that MAC could redo it and it be more accurate to the original formula? I know you mentioned in a different video before that sometimes the formulas weren’t saved or lost during the transition from changing companies.

Although new is a nice dark colour, the vintage is so much better

The modern has alot more deep red in it base makeing the pay off abit more red I prefer the bold more metallic original

They should launch a collection called "mac originals" and release all these colors again
