I have this tent and it’s great for late season (if you’re not using a tipi/stove tent). Early season I love my Nemo hornet 1, but it’ struggles in heavy snow. I’ve seen this tent for 40% off lately too which also makes it a great deal. Thanks for looking at gear outside the hunting industry bubble.

I always enjoy watching your reviews! Looks like a great setup. I run with the Kuiu storm star 2 person tent. I think it’s 2 pounds heavier but I know come hell or high water I’ll survive the night. Peace of mind is huge when your 5+ miles in the back country.

MSR sells a pole shock cord replacement/upgrade kit that is supposed to be more resistent to cold. Although I would assume their new tents already use that cord in their poles. I bought it to replace the cord in my hubba that's 10+ years old

MSR customer service is terrible I will never buy another msr product again. If you have any issues with the product, they will not stand by it. You can’t even contact them. I have been trying for a year now.

Putting my voice out there for hearing your thoughts on the xdome with a solid inner!

I recently bought the Durston X-Dome 1. Wound be interested to see how that would hold up for a later season hunt snow. Especially with the solid inner tent.

So Jay would you rather be in the Hilleberg Soulo or the MSR when things get real on the weather front. I know which one I'd be in 😊

That style of storage bag is ideal. Easy to use when your hands are frozen and it's dark. More companies need to do this.

MSR tent poles are known to lose elasticity in the cabling inside the poles. It's an easy fix. Just but replacement cord and replace it.
