This feels like the best telltale game ever made, where all the choices you’ve ever made feel small, but then a whole new world is formed based on everything you’ve ever chosen to save.
Ответитьyou have a white voice lmfao
ОтветитьGotta watch!
ОтветитьMr. _____ is the grim reaper. Harvester of souls taking them to hell. Don't be that guy.
ОтветитьLoved this movie. It had a Eyes Wide Shut / Clockwork Orange type of feel that you don't see anymore. 🔥
ОтветитьThis was very introspective! I just saw this last night.
ОтветитьI haven’t watched this movie. I’ll have to check it out. This was a fantastic video.
ОтветитьAwesome video
ОтветитьDamn you really sound like Howard Ho....very good video...thank you!
ОтветитьSo funny how some employers can drop money on food or other freebies but not drop livable wages 🤷🏻
ОтветитьBut the director producer actors everyone involved push for slavery I voted for Kamala Harris a slave pusher they were diamonds and Nike and name-brand things he'll be probably you wear Hugo Boss and I think that's okay they're a bunch of f**** hypocrite
Ответить“If you’re at the bottom of the hierarchy, you must surrender your body and your dignity to the system.” The problem with people who critique and come up with no solutions of capitalism, are the people that don’t understand it. America is the most affluent country in the world where the bottom class has iPhones and cars. I won’t deep dive too much but to say, try visiting a communist country or a third world country. The argument of capitalism in the film is a contradiction due to the fact that the director was even able to make this film. Try making a movie in China, criticizing their government.
Ответитьblack panther was not a good movie
ОтветитьAny others movies like this?
ОтветитьAny company that calls its employees “a family” you should run from. Because family means selfless sacrifice; working free overtime every day is selfless sacrifice too, you wanna be part of that family?
Ответитьi was high asf when i watched this movie i was so confused
Ответитьi liked your take of the movie man
ОтветитьI was amused that your switch to the ad at the end felt like code switching as well. Different circumstances, you are making the content you want, but it was kinda hilarious
ОтветитьHe has to sanitize his personality in order to ascend, and then when he has an audience with the oligarchs suddenly they want him to put on a performative display for them by rapping.
ОтветитьWas wondering the whole movie why Cash doesn’t take his talents to a see a product he’d be morally okay selling
ОтветитьThis is an excellent movie, and this is an amazing perspective, and critique of capitalism. Thanks for making this so much clearer.
Ответитьthis movie was so good, then they turned people into horses and it scared the living shit out of my gf
ОтветитьI didn't realize he was Canadian
ОтветитьThis was a great essay until you glossed over the ending entirely
ОтветитьI think (maybe) I get it now. Finally. (Maybe.) Capitalism is fundamentally flawed (at least in part) because it encourages, and usually requires its “successful” participants to behave in an immoral manner. At its heart, it’s requires maybe the worst kind of theft. The stealing of the lives (via the capture of much of their time on Earth) of workers and of much of the fruit of their labor. It’s just another form of slavery time and experimentation have honed into a more sustainable, acceptable form.
Now that I see it, it’s obvious. The truth about it was difficult to see because the system perpetuates itself with lies about its own nature.
Clever girl.
Can we please kill this awful, divisive, destructive system now?
The way he pushed is uncle off of him when he gave him the check. Was like "nigga, back up off of me" lmao
ОтветитьI'm constantly haunted by what happens when he "gets the word out" about the horse people. It's too real.
ОтветитьI personally find the film nothing more than a fairy tale for the Unionist movement.
"If everyone is truthful to their morality, Unionization can defeat the corporate exploitation" they say,
just like how they said "If everyone change their own way of life, global warming will be gone".
But morality is nothing more than values; values that we are not born with. Most of us grow up in such a society in which attempts at infusing corporate value (and value of the modern life style that is inspired by the system, and is blamed for global warming) into our morality are blatant to say the least; and saying that "be good, and the world will do fine" is nothing more than fairy tale: The sole definition of "good" in most people's belief is so connected with things that the ideal of "unionized labor" and "reduction in global warming" attempt to destruct, that these movement seem to have increasingly less impact.
Before saying "do as your morality tells you and things will be fine", activists need to do the seemingly obvious thing: teaching their ideals to the audience: But this is never the less an uphill battle in our current day and age (where profit still plays an important role in basic survival of many): one side is inspired mainly by ideal/value (that is not the more actively promoted ones within a society), while the other side inspired by profit.
I like the fact that when Cassius is hit with a coke can in an act of protesting, the protesting becomes capitalize by the system it was once trying to get away from.
Ответитьit is funny because this not only critiques capitalism(it was the medium to criticize the human nature as you mention); what happens is that in all ideologies (economical, filosofical and humanistic) people tend to become this cult-like groups that in the internal hierarchy it ends up creating situations in wich change people like in this movie; it is good this movie.
Ответитьwithout that 'white voice' we would still be in medieval age if we were lucky. f*** reverse racism.
there is no "black voice" and "white voice"... not in europe at least. but i already read that in america there is a "black english" and a "white english"... no guys. they just weren´t proper integrated and use slum / ghetto speak. we had that in europe in medieval age, too. "rap! rap! rap! rap!" as if... 100% unrealistic pandering. oh i wonder if this movie even has good white guys despite the overwhelming majority of union members, founders, bosses being 'white' (whatever that is)
The evil usually always has his hair parted to the left i will literally look for it, but in this his hair is just toussled to the point that there is no part. very clever
ОтветитьSorry to Bother You goes through so many genres and oddities to bring its tragicomical points onto the table that it actually comes out as a gutural cry for freedom. That n-word shit just went beyond I ever expected, and I loved it for that.
ОтветитьWatched this without knowing anything about the premise while tripping on mushrooms in 2018
Quite the ride...
Okay but then he turns into a horse
ОтветитьYou like A Star is Born and think Black Panther is one of the best Superhero movies ever made? Yikes...... Nope
I'm not into communist propaganda.
!Strange Good
ОтветитьThe white voice legit works no lie lol
Ответитьever made...yu sure you don't want to walk that back just a tad?
ОтветитьDanny Glover was perfectly cast in this film, and I love that they had to overdub his "white voice".
ОтветитьThere is no more perfect system of oppression than Capitalism. But of course. Why wouldn't the rich build a system that protects them and their wealth?
ОтветитьWorry Free organization frightenly feels like it could be a real thing. And did anyone catch the connection to Pinnochio with turning into a horse/donkey?
ОтветитьYou should listen to Boots Riley's songs. They're amazing.
ОтветитьThe narrator speaks in his white voice
ОтветитьYou know it's a good video essay when halfway through you feel compelled to pause it, go watch the movie, and then come back to finish it
ОтветитьI was all in and then it took the strangest turn ever. I get it. Its satire but man what a turn.
ОтветитьMy apologies to Chandra Arthur whose name I mispronounced in this video. It's pronounced like "Chondra." Sorry!
