Stunning bike! But I still don’t understand why Yamaha couldn’t design a proper headlight unit, an actual touring screen and a comfortable seat for the GT+
Thanks for another quality post MB🤘
We collected our gt+ yesterday 🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьAm I the only one that thinks a real GT should have shaft drive?
ОтветитьI have to smile when I hear anybody saying "Too much tech...nanny features" etc. When I was very young, back in the 1970s, we had a motorcycle meet-up every August & truly ancient stuff would turn up. One was a pre-WW1 Norton (I think) that had fuel mixture & spark advance controls. The equally ancient owner could be heard lambasting "modern bikes" & how riders don't need auto-advance & carburetors that give the correct fuel/air ratio at all times "if they know how to ride....what're you going to do when it breaks?" Etc etc etc.
ОтветитьI already have a 900GT and I'm totally fine with the bike I have so for me there is no point in upgrading to the current spec but if Yamaha launched a Tracer 1000 based on the CP4 I'd be first in line. Now that would be a smashing bike with all this tech!
ОтветитьInteresting. Other reviewers have said that the seat is anything but comfortable. For an old fart like me comfort is very important, so now I'm wondering who is right.
ОтветитьI am torn between this, the lighter Triumph Tiger Sport 660 whifh has no cruise fontrol :( or a Kawa 1000SX. I have an R7 for a bit of fun but looking to back it up with a more comfortable cruser...a lot of nights thinking about the choice. Planning on finishing the garage later with Kawa RS900 Cafe... So wans thinking Id have a 2pot, 3 pot and 4 pot...(if I dont get the 1000sx)...
ОтветитьYamaha always king ❤❤
Ответитьi have a fj09 and i think it has too much electric crap on it. just give us a bike with a throttle and a brake with a clutch
ОтветитьGsx1250 bandit best all-rounder ever for price tec just spoils the ride
ОтветитьI won't be buying a motorcycle with all this so called "innovative" junk on it. Technology has a way of biting you in the ass when you're counting on it when it fails.
ОтветитьIt’s still uglier than a mud fence.
ОтветитьI'd still take the kawasaki versys 1000 gt over this anyday
Ответитьyeah acc only useful and safe on motorway
ОтветитьVersys 1000 SE+ for the win
ОтветитьFor this price I would have Ducati V2S!Much better suspension and comfort
ОтветитьWhat is the point of doing a bike review and not including the sound of raving the engine?! 🤷♂️
ОтветитьYamaha, are you listening? Produce a Tracer 10, CP4 engine with a bigger fuel tank. Thank me later!
ОтветитьMy dream
ОтветитьGood job Bob, ...I think this new Tracer 9 GT+ will soon replace my BMW R1200R of 2017, because i think seriously that BMW is now to much expansive : the same bike (R1250R) = up 22 000 € 🤬
ОтветитьI have a 2022 Tracer 9 GT, it is a brilliant motorcycle. Before I made the purchase I did research and looked at the Tiger 900 GT Pro, Kaw SX1000 GT, Suz GSX1000 GT+, BMW F900, Suzuki VStrom, and The. Kaw Versus. The Kaw SX1000 and Suzuki GSX+ are great motorcycle but the insurance costs are very high. From a performance standpoint, I think the Tracer is better. The one motorcycle that I was torn between is the Tiger 900 GT Pro. I think Triumph makes one of the best motorcycles on the market. The Tiger 900 is nicely equipped. I ended up choosing the Tracer 9GT. In reality, I am not going to be doing the " Long Way Around" trips anytime soon. The performance, safety features, cruise , heated grips, and pillion bags as standard plus yamaha dependability you can't go wrong. It is a great sport cruiser that you can crush a lot of miles on it.
ОтветитьShaft drive would have put it over the top.
ОтветитьSorry dude but this ain't a review, rather is promo video for Tracer GT+. This coming from the owner of Tracer 900 GT.
ОтветитьGreat review, thank you for taking the time to do them! What would you suggest for everyday riding in the city between this bike and the Africa Twin?
ОтветитьI want a three cylindred 1200cc from Yamaha… 😇🥰
ОтветитьI'm in for a surprise when I finally purchase a new bike. I just recently bought a bike with ABS after nearly 40 years of riding.
ОтветитьAny bike that is chain driven, can't be defined as a touring bike.
ОтветитьPersonally, I have the Tracer 9 GT, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The engine is an absolute delight, and the versatility it offers is unbeatable. Incredibly fun.
ОтветитьI think the Tracer would compare to the Versys 1000, which is a bit bulkier and probably better if you carry a passenger. Regardless, nothing can beat the reliability and drama-free ownership of a Japanese bike. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьI want more HP, I’ve been dying for a sport tourer with 200hp
ОтветитьCardo breaks and doesn't stand by their products. I use Sena now, i hope their products will be of better quality and won't break within first year of ocassional use.
ОтветитьHas some cool tech but the Honda NT1100 seems like a better bike
ОтветитьI looked at one yesterday and I have coupe of observations vs. my current bike 2021 Versys 1000.
- It’s more compact compared to Versys 1000. I wouldn’t recommend for 2 up.
- It does have adjustable suspension however rear is still manual adjustment.
- Radar is a nice idea but I find it useless as it takes away from the fun of riding and being of control.
Wind protection. I didn’t ride it so I can speak to it but based on looks it doesn’t look adequate for highway riding. Could be wrong here.
- TFT looks busy. I’m a function over form guy.
$16.5k starting price in US
Ответитьlooks ugly
ОтветитьLooks gorgeous
ОтветитьI still hate the fact that it has only one light, It just looks odd
ОтветитьHi, is the 23 identical to the 24? Thanks
ОтветитьThrow that over rated cruise control in the trash!
On & Off CC is just fine 🤦♂️
Yamaha, goes from ugliest dash to unnecessary CC.
Pull head out of A$$ yam!
The seat is junk!
There you go.
Your welcome 🤗
I’ve sat on it. It’s small for a 6 foot plus rider.
ОтветитьPanniers are too small
ОтветитьI'm not at the stage of getting a touring bike yet, but starting to consider it. I think this is an all round great package, except for the upright seating position. I suffer from periodic lower back pain. Sitting upright on an office chair, dining chair or car seat causes too much compression and I struggle to stand up and walk around afterwards. Riding my GSXR = no back pain
ОтветитьIt has front full active suspension ...
ОтветитьI want this bike. All the tech/rider aids. $10K less than other bikes.
ОтветитьI’d rather get rid of the fluff, i.e. adaptive, cruise control and pay 2K less for this great motor bike
ОтветитьWhat year did they change from the divers face dash?
ОтветитьI have an odd question. How much heat does this bike put on the knees, legs, crotch. The reason I ask is I recently swapped from a Transalp (little to no heat) to a Africa Twin DCT which blows hot air on my knees and lower legs like someone is pointing a hair dryer at them. I love the AT but the heat is killing the experience for me. I’m a fan of the Tracer and Super Tenere is why I ask.
ОтветитьI really struggle with your assessment of this bikes handling. When I decided to test one of these, I rode to the dealership on my GSA 1250, hopped off it and rode back the exact same way out and back to the dealership.
I then got back on my gs and immediately sensed a difference in town. Grunt, plushness and quality.
Once out of town it was just night and day. The BMW was far more willing, throttle response was in a different league, suspension absorbed the bumps but was supportive. I had far better feedback and was able to ride significantly faster whilst being more relaxed. Oh and the brakes were simply miles better on the BM.
The tracer is a typical attempt at seducing people with tech to cover up cheap parts.
I’m not sure how specific these comments are to me. I ride a lot on the track with a zx10 and so maybe the tracer is ok for slower riders, but I hated it. It tied itself in knots, had rubbish fuelling. Brakes were ok but lacked feel and the engine is just bland.
